I arrived in Ugie 1 April 1994 as Station Commissioner. 

My wife, Marieta van Zyl, was with me.

My first child Marché Ferris was born in Maclear Hosp when we were in Ugie on 14 Jul 1994.

Second child, Tristan Rowan was born in Elliot on 1996 Oct 2nd also while we were residing in Ugie.

They both went to Ugie Primary School from grade 0 until we left in Dec 2002.

We stayed in the Police houses from 1994 to 1999, then we rented Chantry farm from Mondi. We stayed there for 2 years and then moved to Trosswick and rented there until we left Ugie.
